I like the authors' an essay approach for the multistate subjects style - addressing all the issues in an effectively and very well written way. Reading model answers from one author consistent writing style is so much better than reading the selected model answers from different Examinees published by the Cal Bar.
It helps me learn the rules and how to approach the essays. Great book because it gives you model answers, not the barely passing answers that the bar releases. When I'm studying I want to be able to see what issues I failed to spot and the sample answers from the bar don't do that.
Plus, the sample bar answers often have incorrect rule statements and organazation. These 'model' answers are just that - they are what a perfect or near perfect answer should look like and helped me greatly in my studies. I do have to mention that there is a bit of sloppiness with their editing but it was usually something small like using the wrong name or calling someone a 'he' when the question had listed that person as a 'she'. Not a big deal but it definitely caught my eye.
